Description

Position Summary:  The Assistant Inventory Clerk supports inventory management by accurately tracking and organizing stock, maintaining records, receiving shipments, performing audits and updating inventory management systems. Key responsibilities include data entry, stocking, performing cycle counts, and preparing reports.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Stock management: Receive, inspect, and document incoming inventory and supplies, then store and retrieve them in an organized manner.
  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements, noting any discrepancies, using Warner’s inventory management software and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Inventory Audits: Perform regular stock counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter inventory data into computer systems.
  • Reporting: Create reports on inventory levels, stock movement and discrepancies.
  • Coordination: Work with the Senior Director, Operations Office Manager, Maintenance and Custodial personnel to facilitate timely delivery of products and parts and manage the overall flow of stock.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Keeps inventory storage areas clean, organized and safe.
  • Other duties as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Supportive of Warner’s mission, vision and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models.
  • High School diploma or GED required (an Associate’s Degree preferred).
  • 1-2 years of previous experience working in inventory management, data management or similar role.
  • Proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Excel, inventory management software and barcoding systems required.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail and organization skills required.
  • Effective and courteous communication skills are needed to work with other team members and other university personnel.

 

Working Relationships:  The Assistant Inventory Clerk is a member of the Facilities Services team and reports to the Operations Office Manager.

 

Work Schedule:  Normal office hours expected Monday through Friday.  Additional hours as needed for significant department or university events.
