About the Position
Warner Norcross Judd LLP is seeking an experienced attorney to join our Business Practice Group. This role focuses on commercial transactions with a primary responsibility for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will have broad experience reviewing and advising clients on day-to-day business matters as well as drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as vendor, customer, services, licensing, and confidentiality agreements
- Counsel clients on contract strategy and business operations
- Support financing and internal restructuring transactions
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups, including tax, labor and employment, and real estate
About You
- Two plus years of corporate or business law experience
- Strong background in commercial contracting and general corporate counseling
- Exposure to finance transactions, private equity portfolio company work, or corporate reorganizations
- Experience working directly with clients and managing multiple matters independently
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to provide practical, business focused advice
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Admission to the Michigan Bar, or the ability to become licensed in Michigan
