We have an immediate opening for a motivated individual who can effectively support project accounting needs for various groups within the company. In this Houston-based position, the Project Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

We have an immediate opening for a motivated individual who can effectively support project accounting needs for various groups within the company. In this Houston-based position, the Project Accountant will have the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate project set up according to the terms of the executed contract
- Process monthly billing
- Responsible for reviewing weekly timesheets and expense reports
- Responsible for vouchering vendor invoices
- Works directly with Project Managers to monitor and analyze project financial management through the life cycle of projects
- Responsible for maintaining accounts receivable including coordinating with project managers, clients, and the AR Manager to ensure timely payments
- Maintain electronic project files
- Participates in annual peer review audit of project files
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role
- Accounting experience in the Design/Engineering/Construction industry is a plus
- Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office Suite, and practical experience working with financial databases. Experience with BST10 is a plus
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to client service with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Works well in collaboration with others and is self-driven
