Additional requirements and position responsibilities include:
- Management of land/site development projects, including technical design, quality control, and project management
- Business development activities and assignments concentrated in a specific target area
- Project client interface
- Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) interface
- Financial management of projects
- Working with the team to set goals to meet business objectives
- Complete Civil design drawings using AudoCAD Civil 3D software
- Travel to job sites
- Field investigations and documentation under general supervision of Project Manager
- Construction related services including meeting attendance, shop drawings reviews, responses to RFI, scheduling and coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), scheduling and coordination with job site contractors
- Arkansas (ADH, ADEQ, ArDOT) design code experience required
- Northwest Arkansas (Bentonville and Fayetteville) design code experience required
- PE in Arkansas, or ability to obtain license within 12 months of hire date
- BS in Civil Engineering (MS a plus)
- 3 years of relevant project experience (5-8 years of experience strongly preferred)
- Experience managing civil/site development projects
- Experience leading the civil design efforts for public works or site development projects
- Sound technical design background
- Excellent communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of local and U.S. design codes and standards
- Related local experience preferred
