What We’re Looking For: Walstrom Marine is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Coordinator to join our team in Traverse City. This critical position supports our parts and service departments by ensuring timely ordering, receiving, and tracking of parts and supplies, while also maintaining strong communication with technicians, vendors, and customers. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Whether you come from a marine background or not, if you're a proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude and strong communication skills, we want to hear from you!
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review work orders and place parts orders promptly to keep service work on schedule
- Receive and track all incoming parts and purchase orders accurately
- Communicate efficiently and professionally with technicians, vendors, and customers
- Research parts availability and pricing online and through vendors to build accurate estimates
- Return phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally
- Conduct weekly audits of work orders and verify parts usage to ensure jobs are complete and accurate
- Stock company supplies and maintain inventory of tools, office items, cleaning supplies, nuts, bolts, and more
- Support year-end inventory counts and reconciliation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the parts department
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a parts or inventory-related role preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using computer systems and Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Positive, professional attitude with a focus on customer service

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
- Saturday availability may be required during summer months
- This is an in-person, on-site position based out of our Traverse City location
