Seamstress

This position is responsible for all aspects of the uniform distribution process, including fittings, alterations, inventory and ordering of uniforms. Essential Functions:

• Uniform measurements/fittings for all employees requiring uniforms.
• Alterations of uniforms to meet employee size needs within specific timelines.
• Ensuring appropriate uniform inventory levels, including ordering of special size needs and maintaining inventory of common sizes.
• Uniform repair of uniforms damaged while working.
• Managing the uniform return and exchange process for termed employees, promoted employees, or transferred employees; ensuring appropriate tracking of outstanding uniforms.
• Receiving uniform items, unpacking and verifying shipments, and storing items appropriately.
• Manage dry cleaning for used uniform items.
• Maintain an organized uniform room, including uniforms, filing, and supplies.
• Maintain uniform inventory database.

Required:

• Applies moderately complex practical procedures or systems and/or specialized skills, which require some technical knowledge to apply. Typically requires a one year certificate from college or technical school; or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
