What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Service Technician (Road Tech) position at WALKER FURNITURE?
Description
Build Your Craft. Solve Problems. Make a Difference.
Are you someone who takes pride in working with your hands, solving problems, and leaving things better than you found them? Walker Furniture is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Furniture Service Technician to join our growing team!
As a Furniture Service Technician, you’ll bring your craftsmanship and problem-solving skills directly to our customers. You’ll travel throughout an assigned service area, visiting homes and businesses to inspect, diagnose, repair, restore, assemble, and service a wide variety of furniture. Every day brings something different—and every successful repair is an opportunity to make a customer’s experience a great one.
This is more than a repair job. You’ll be the face of Walker Furniture in our customers’ homes, using your technical skills and attention to detail to find solutions and deliver quality workmanship they can see and appreciate.
You’ll work with everything from wood furniture and case goods to upholstery, leather, fabric, motion furniture, and recliners, performing both warranty and non-warranty repairs. Whether you’re restoring a finish, repairing a frame, correcting an upholstery issue, or diagnosing a mechanical problem, you’ll use your knowledge, creativity, and craftsmanship to get the job done right.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in their work. You should enjoy working independently, interacting with customers, and tackling new challenges every day.
If you’re looking for a career where your skills matter, your work is visible, and no two days are exactly alike, we’d like to meet you!
