About the Role:
As Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of innovative food products from concept to shelf. This fully remote position requires extensive travel across the U.S. and a hands-on approach to all aspects of sales execution. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, opening new distribution channels, and personally executing sales strategies that create meaningful market penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve aggressive growth targets across the U.S.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new accounts, expanding product distribution within food retail, specialty distributors, and foodservice channels.
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers and partners, and actively seek new opportunities.
- Directly manage sales activities, including preparing proposals, pricing negotiations, follow-up, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on forecasting, inventory planning, and market insights to ensure seamless product availability.
- Travel up to 50% nationally to engage with clients, attend trade shows, and explore new markets.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and industry trend awareness to position the brand competitively.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of progressive sales experience within CPG, food retail, or foodservice industries, demonstrating consistent career growth and high performance.
- Proven success in opening new accounts and expanding distribution, particularly within specialty or differentiated food categories.
- Extensive hands-on experience in executing tactical sales efforts—from prospecting and proposal development to pricing strategies and issue resolution.
- Strong knowledge of the food retail landscape, specialty distribution networks, brokers, and foodservice customers.
- Solid commercial acumen in forecasting, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% nationally.
- Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred, facilitating engagement with diverse customer and distributor bases.
