Key Responsibilities

Coordinate program activities of the WFM Vision Clinic

Coordinate and ensure scheduling of patient appointments

Compliance Requirements
The Program Coordinator must comply with all relevant laws and policies, including HIPAA confidentiality rules, FLSA wage and hour provisions, Texas employment regulations, and OSHA safety standards. WFM will maintain compliance with all applicable employment laws.

Agreement Terms
This is a temporary, approximately one-year role. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks, verification of work eligibility (Form I-9), and any additional credentialing requirements. Either party may terminate employment at any time. Upon separation, all earned wages will be paid in accordance with the Texas Payday Law.

Qualifications:
WFM Vision Clinic Program Coordinator - Temporary
Reports To: Director of Clinical Services
Supervision: WFM Vision Center Optometrist
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Health Administration, or related field. Demonstrated knowledge of how social and physical environments influence health. Minimum two years of experience working in a healthcare setting.
Position Summary
The Program Coordinator will oversee the daily administrative operations of the WFM Vision Clinic under a temporary, one-year agreement. This role ensures smooth clinic workflow, compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, and effective coordination between clinicians, school staff, and patients.
Scope of Employment
This is a temporary position beginning January 12, 2026, and continuing through December 31, 2026. Employment is at-will, meaning either party may terminate the relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, consistent with Texas law. The Program Coordinator will work up to 30 hours per week, generally Monday through Thursday, aligned with the Waco ISD (WISD) calendar.
