Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Clinic Coordinator to lead the daily operations of our healthcare facility. This is a full-time, on-site Clinical Coordinator role based in Waco, TX. This role includes minimum (1) remote work day a week, subject to change due to clinic schedule changes. In this vital role, you will oversee administrative functions, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and support clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong background in medical office management and healthcare administration.
Qualifications
- Manage clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of daily work assignments of the assigned Medical Scribe/Assistant team.
- Handle the credentialing process for physicians, ensuring that licenses and certifications are current.
- Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, billing processes, and financial reporting with Revenue Management services.
- Assist patients with financial inquiries and act as liaison between patient and billing department
- Research skills to support the development and implementation of care protocols and to contribute to continuous improvement
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and knowledge of medical terminology
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of medical supplies and instruments
- Utilize EMR and Electronic Health Record systems to provide guidance on office procedures, HIPAA compliance, and medical records management
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within a clinical setting.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records handling, HIPAA regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with office management tasks related to dental or medical clinics; familiarity with acute care or hospital settings is a plus.
