Job Description
Porter / Property Maintenance Associate
Full-Time Porter / Property Maintenance Associate for a Condominium Management Company with properties located throughout Hartford, New Haven, and Middlesex Counties.
Applicants must be based in Hartford or New Haven County.
This role focuses on routine property upkeep, cleanliness, light repairs, and daily monitoring of condominium communities. The Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-kept environment across multiple properties. Travel to nearby towns may be required.
Prior property maintenance, porter, or interior painting experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
Perform routine property upkeep, including trash removal, general cleaning, and maintaining common areas
Complete interior painting and basic repairs (e.g., drywall patching, fixture replacements, touch-ups)
Conduct daily inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure cleanliness and safety
Report maintenance issues, damages, violations, and safety concerns promptly to management
Replace light bulbs and assist with simple maintenance tasks as needed
Keep walkways, stairwells, hallways, and shared spaces clean and presentable
Assist with seasonal duties such as snow cleanup or general exterior upkeep
Respond to work orders efficiently using a company-provided smartphone
Communicate with the office regarding work orders, questions, or additional support needed
Coordinate access to units with residents when required
Assist with overseeing or supporting third-party vendors when on-site
Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed and be available for on call rotation for after-hour emergency service
Purchase basic supplies as needed (company card provided) and maintain receipts
Maintain daily logs of work performed and hours worked
Stay available via phone and email during business hours
