💼 Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage business analysis efforts focused on Technology expense management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Finance, Technology teams, and other stakeholders to review budget and approval-to-spend requests for alignment with financial plans.
- Provide insights, guidance, and best practices with strong executive presence.
- Facilitate meetings, presentations, and updates for senior leadership; influence and drive consensus across stakeholder groups.
- Maintain, manage, and analyze budget items throughout the year, understanding financial impacts and drivers.
- Support business unit leads by coaching junior team members and stepping in as acting lead when needed.
- Query databases, validate data, and troubleshoot reporting issues.
- Serve as a key point of contact for the BMO, delivering excellent customer service while balancing efficiency.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with strong risk awareness.
- Create and improve business processes, reporting structures, and methodologies to increase team efficiency and quality.
- Translate detailed data into meaningful insights and clear messages for Technology leadership.
📚 Required Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in financial analysis within banking or financial services (note: this is not a finance role).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data and tie insights to business and technology needs.
- Proven experience with Tableau, Power BI, and familiarity with ServiceNow.
- Strong understanding of expense management, budgeting processes, and operational reporting.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to quality and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent initiatives and deliver high-quality outputs on time.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
