Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in all aspects of New Jersey workers' compensation defense.
- Handle cases from inception through resolution, including claim evaluation, discovery, motion practice, hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence.
- Attend and represent clients at depositions, pre-trial conferences, and court appearances.
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues related to workers' compensation law.
- Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, medical professionals, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation and reporting.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey (in good standing).
- 1-10 years of experience specifically in New Jersey workers' compensation defense required.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and independently.
- Experience with case management software is a plus.
