- Lead, train, and mentor the warehouse team to maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counts, and inventory control.
- Maintain accurate inventory across finished goods, components, and packaging.
- Implement and enforce SOPs, best practices, and continuous process improvements.
- Manage Class 9 (UN 3481 / UN 3480) domestic and international shipments.
- Maintain compliance logs, SDS files, training records, and audit readiness.
- Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight forwarders) on routing (small parcel, LTL, FTL) and requirements.
- Oversee B2C and B2B outbound fulfillment.
- Track operational KPIs and drive efficiency improvements.
- Optimize packaging, freight routing, and warehouse layout to reduce cost and increase throughput.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct regular safety audits, facility inspections, and safety training sessions, ensuring ongoing compliance and team awareness.
- Proven leadership ability, with a track record of building and managing, high-performing, high ownership, warehouse teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in shipping Class 9 lithium-ion batteries, both contained in product and as standalone battery packs.
- Effective communication skills and experience managing carrier relationships and logistics partners.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and experience leading safety programs in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- 7-10 years of warehouse management or distribution center leadership experience.
- Proven experience shipping Class 9 lithium batteries-both contained in product and battery-only shipments.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and WMS systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.
- Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and warehouse safety compliance requirements.
- OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour General Industry certification or equivalent safety training.
- Experience with hazmat certification(s) authorizing you to prepare and sign the Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods.
- Additional IATA, IMDG, or 49 CFR hazmat training or certifications.
- Experience with parcel, LTL, and international hazmat shipments.
- Background in consumer electronics, batteries, or similar regulated products.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, or 5S.
- Familiarity with warehouse automation, scanning technology, or advanced WMS tools.
