Vice President, Capital Markets

Summary Of Position

The Vice President of Capital Markets is a senior finance leader reporting to the SVP of Finance & Accounting. They manage two analysts and lead real estate investment sourcing, structuring, and execution, working closely with leadership, especially the Acquisitions team.

The role oversees investor relations, performance reporting, and the AppFolio platform, while driving equity sourcing and raising capital through strong investor networks. It is a high-visibility, external-facing position with key responsibility for financing strategy and long-term investment success.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead all equity and debt capital raising activities for new and existing investments.
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for institutional investors, private equity firms, lenders, and family offices.
• Actively source new investors and cultivate relationships to expand the firm's capital base.
• Partner with acquisitions leadership to identify, structure, and close investment opportunities.
• Oversee preparation of compelling investor materials, including offering memoranda, presentations, and equity pitches alongside marketing team.
• Represent the firm in investor meetings, industry conferences, and capital partner negotiations.
• Supervise and mentor two Financial Analysts to support underwriting, modeling, and capital markets activities.
• Provide market intelligence on capital flows, investor sentiment, and emerging financing structures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party consultants to lead due diligence and transaction closings.
• Strengthen the firm's brand as buyers with investors through transparency, performance communication, and relationship management.
