Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in structural steel fabrication and/or erection. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, clients, and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects from award through completion
Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines
Coordinate with project managers, detailers, shop, yard, and field teams
Review and track submittals, RFIs, and change orders
Interpret architectural/structural drawings and steel shop drawing packages
Perform field measurements and attend job site meetings as needed
Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met
Evaluate project performance and implement improvements when necessary
Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Qualifications
10 years experience in structural steel fabrication/erection or related industry
Strong knowledge of shop drawings, blueprints, and construction documents
Experience with submittals, RFIs, and change order processes
Familiarity with AIA billing procedures (G702/G703)
Field/job Site Experience And Field Measuring (preferred)
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
