Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Research tax laws and stay current on changes in tax regulations to ensure compliance.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic recommendations that align with clients' financial objectives.
- Prepare tax estimates, extensions, and supporting schedules for timely filing.
- Maintain accurate tax workpapers and supporting documentation.
- Manage client bookkeeping and general accounting functions.
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, including monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Process payroll, payroll tax filings, and payroll tax payments.
- Assist clients with accounting and tax-related questions while providing exceptional customer service.
- Support financial statement reviews and audit engagements as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial information.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
- 3 years of public accounting experience with tax preparation and client accounting services.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, accounting principles, and GAAP.
- Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, Lacerte, ProConnect, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines.

Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
