- Prepare complex federal and state tax returns for:
- C-Corporations
- S-Corporations
- Partnerships
- Multi-state entities
- Individual taxpayers
- Prepare and review tax projections and estimated tax calculations
- Research complex tax issues and prepare technical tax memorandums
- Analyze and document book-to-tax differences
- Identify tax planning opportunities and potential client issues
- Respond to federal and state tax notices
- Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and client service
- Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Communicate effectively with engagement managers regarding project progress, budgets, and deadlines
- Manage multiple engagements while maintaining exceptional quality and accuracy
- Deliver outstanding client service throughout every engagement
- Leadership & Team Development
- Review tax returns prepared by Staff Accountants
- Mentor and support Staff Accountants and Interns
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members
- Participate in firm training and professional development initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 3 years of recent public accounting tax experience
- Experience preparing:
- Corporate tax returns
- S-Corporation tax returns
- Partnership tax returns
- Strong understanding of:
- GAAP
- Financial statements
- Federal and state tax regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities
- High attention to detail
- Experience using professional tax software and accounting technology
- Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of public accounting tax compliance and consulting experience
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
