Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs within a growing oil and gas organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oil and gas safety operations, regulatory compliance, training, incident prevention, and the development of comprehensive safety programs.
This position will play a critical role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing operational risk, and supporting field and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety policies, procedures, and programs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and company safety requirements.
Create, update, and manage safety manuals, policies, and operating procedures.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
Manage and promote programs related to PPE, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, H2S safety, and other critical safety initiatives.
Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance across operations.
Develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills and preparedness activities.
Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for management.
Collaborate with operational leadership to foster a proactive safety culture.
Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of Safety Management experience.
Direct experience within the Oil & Gas industry is required.
Experience developing and implementing safety programs, procedures, and manuals.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Experience delivering safety training and employee safety programs.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel as required between operational locations.
Preferred Qualifications
HSE, EHS, Safety, Environmental, or related certifications.
OSHA certifications.
