- Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to water damage and flooding incidents, assessing the extent of damage and determining necessary mitigation procedures
- Operate hand tools and power tools to extract water, remove damaged materials, and prepare sites for restoration
- Perform cleaning tasks including mold remediation, and debris removal to restore properties to their pre-loss condition
- Assist with fire restoration efforts by cleaning soot and smoke damage, and performing asbestos abatement when required
- Utilize construction skills to install drying equipment, set up containment areas, and perform minor repairs as needed
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling sensitive materials such as mold or asbestos to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Document all mitigation activities thoroughly for reporting purposes and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Prior experience in the restoration industry is highly preferred; familiarity with water damage restoration, fire cleanup, or mold remediation is a plus
- Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in construction or maintenance settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to carpet cleaning and general property sanitation
- Understanding of asbestos abatement procedures and safety practices is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Willingness to learn industry-specific protocols and obtain necessary certifications for specialized tasks
