Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of product quality and regulatory compliance within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that processes, materials, and finished products meet established quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations.
The QA Manager will lead quality teams, develop and implement quality management systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.
Duties
Quality Leadership and Strategy
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO9001:2015, AS9100:D, ITAR, GMP, and other relevant standards
- Establish quality objectives, policies, and procedures aligned with company goals
- Lead and mentor QA and QC teams to ensure consistent application of standards
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Oversee incoming material inspections, in-process checks, and final product audits
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and customer-specific requirements
- Maintain accurate records of quality metrics, audits, and non-conformance reports
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Lead initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Identify opportunities to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve quality
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and proactive quality management
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective decision-making under pressure
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical standards
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field
- 5-7 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2-3 years of leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, ITAR, GMP, or similar standards
- Proficiency in data analysis and quality reporting
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Manual dexterity for assembling products as required
- Strong hand-eye coordination
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
