Ideal Candidate Profile (3-5 Years Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- EIT Certification preferred (not required)
- Experience designing, preparing, and processing land development applications
- Familiarity with Northern Virginia jurisdictions
- Background in Commercial, Residential, and Mixed-use projects
- Ability to make well-informed design decisions based on civil engineering principles and locality requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience contributing to complete sets of construction plans
- Highly detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and quality in all work deliverables
- Drafting CAD drawings and details for site and subdivision plans
- Developing site layout and utility designs
- Performing horizontal and vertical roadway design
- Preparing erosion and sediment control plans
- Generating hydrologic computations for stormwater management facilities
- Conducting pavement design calculations
- Completing sight distance analyses
- Preparing site work quantity take-offs
- Coordinating with internal and external engineers, architects, and other stakeholders
