Key Responsibilities
Define & Scale the Product Operating Model
- Design and mature the product operating model, including team structure, roles, decision rights, and funding models.
- Architect the enterprise product portfolio (domains → product lines → products).
- Standardize core product processes such as intake, strategy, roadmapping, backlog management, QBRs, and investment cycles.
- Establish key product ceremonies-release readiness, post-release reviews, and postmortems.
- Create and maintain a central Product Practice Portal with templates, playbooks, frameworks, and lifecycle guidance.
- Define unified product KPIs: North Star metrics, OKRs, health metrics, and ROI measures.
- Select, implement, and govern the product tooling ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, roadmapping tools, analytics, experimentation platforms, etc.).
- Lead the Product Guild/Community of Practice to promote shared learning and consistent standards.
- Develop product competency models, leveling guides, training programs, and growth pathways.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and office hours for product managers and cross-functional partners.
- Embed governance standards-including privacy, security, accessibility (WCAG), and SOC 2-into templates, workflows, and definitions of done.
- Define and track operating metrics across customer success, business value, and product outcomes.
- Continuously refine processes to improve product quality, delivery, and value realization.
- 12-15 years overall experience with 8-12 years in product management, product operations, or portfolio governance.
- 3 years leading product organizations; candidates with only product manager or agile coach backgrounds will not be considered.
- Proven ability to design and scale product operating models, portfolio governance structures, and OKR frameworks.
- Track record of creating high-adoption templates, processes, and playbooks across product, business, and engineering teams.
- Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, Excel, MS Forms, and modern product tool stacks.
- Deep grounding in agile practices with a strong process design orientation.
- Experience in SaaS or multi-product environments.
- Background leading a Product Operations function or Product Center of Excellence.
- Familiarity with DevOps/SRE and enterprise SDLC controls.
