One of our clients in the title insurance industry is seeking an experienced Post-Closing Coordinator to manage post-closing, escrow workflows, and recording processes of moderate complexity. This role requires strong technical knowledge of title and escrow procedures and the ability to support junior staff and collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review closing files and manage recording documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
- Calculate transfer taxes and gross-ups for NYS counties.
- Process complex recording documents including CEMAs, UCCs, assignments, building loan agreements, deeds, mortgages, and entity documentation.
- Track and manage escrow files through completion, including judgments and multi-document recordings.
- Monitor and resolve rejections, outstanding items, and escalated post-closing matters.
- Prepare deeds, transfer tax forms, and related documentation.
- Maintain logs, reports, and department inboxes.
- Mentor junior staff, assist with process refinement, and support workflow development.
- Collaborate with underwriting and other departments for escalations or document review.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-4 years of recording and/or escrow experience in title industry.
- Strong knowledge of recording requirements and document handling.
- Experience with Microsoft Office; experience with Trello or TrackerPro.
- Proven accuracy in tax calculations and escrow documentation.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Technical Proficiency - Ability to manage moderately complex recording and escrow tasks.
- Mentorship - Ability to guide junior team members and share expertise.
- Problem-Solving - Anticipates and resolves recording and escrow issues.
