Key Responsibilities
- Draft high-quality legal documents from scratch, including petitions, motions, appellate briefs, and other litigation filings.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and relevant legal authorities.
- Develop persuasive legal arguments supported by thorough research and sound legal reasoning.
- Prepare legal memoranda, research summaries, and other written materials to support litigation strategy.
- Review and refine legal documents for accuracy, clarity, organization, and persuasive impact.
- Identify relevant legal precedents and apply them effectively to case-specific issues.
- Work closely with the trial attorney to understand case objectives, develop arguments, and meet filing deadlines.
- Ensure all written work meets high standards of legal accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school preferred.
- Active bar admission and licensure to practice law strongly preferred.
- Candidates without an active law license must provide a compelling explanation for their licensing status and demonstrate exceptional legal knowledge and writing ability.
- Significant experience in legal writing, litigation drafting, legal research, or appellate work.
- Demonstrated ability to draft complex legal documents independently from scratch.
