What You'll Do
- Manage, support, and train our in-house team of Billing Coordinators.
- Oversee daily billing operations and ensure established processes are followed accurately and consistently.
- Monitor accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, denials, appeals, and patient balances.
- Oversee payment posting, EOBs, electronic fund transfers, deposits, and daily balancing.
- Audit route slips, charges, and billing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain billing procedures, codes, and related information within the EMR/practice management system.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, workflow issues, and insurance-related problems.
- Prepare and review weekly, annual, and other billing reports for practice leadership.
- Work closely with providers and staff to address documentation, coding, and billing concerns.
- Help develop, maintain, and improve billing processes as the practice continues to grow.
- Support additional billing and administrative responsibilities as needed.
- Strong medical billing knowledge and experience.
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or managerial experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage and develop a team while maintaining accountability and consistency.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent professional communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities accurately.
- Experience with insurance billing, accounts receivable, denials, and payment workflows.
