Major Responsibilities
- Operate computer and mammography equipment for image production and documentation.
- Document patient assessment and history.
- Provide patients with compassionate care and breast health education.
- Complete scheduled and unscheduled work efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Perform quality control measures to ensure optimal images.
- Conduct DEXA bone density testing.
- Enter and accurately complete all risk and history information into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Set exam status accordingly for interpretation by the radiologist.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to department needs.
- Communicate abnormal situations to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Engage with other healthcare providers (radiologists, surgeons, specialists, sonographers) to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Follow department procedures, safety regulations, infection control guidelines, and universal precautions.
- Maintain exam room and work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to the profession's code of ethics.
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist with Mammography certification (ARRT R(M)).
- At least one year of experience as a Mammography Technologist performing screening and diagnostic exams.
- Basic knowledge of MQSA and ACR guidelines.
- Understanding of mammography Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
- General knowledge of healthcare service policies and procedures.
- Basic PC skills (keyboard navigation).
- Hourly compensation: $39-$45 per hour (negotiable based on experience).
