Position Responsibilities
- Service, repair and install all systems based on customers' orders.
- Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
- Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
- Complete and submit all service call related documents.
- Keep an orderly vehicle and accurate inventory stock levels.
- Various projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- Technical school training and/or certification is preferred.
- One year of experience with the fire systems is preferred.
- One year of experience in low voltage wiring is preferred.
- Must have flexibility to travel and work overtime when needed.
- Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Suite (intermediate Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- IT and networking experience is a plus.
- Current BASA/FASA certification is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Telecommunications - Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
- Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem.
