The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of fire alarm systems, how they integrate with other building systems, and experience supporting new installations, system upgrades, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, programming, testing, inspection, and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
- Perform system takeovers, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on existing fire alarm systems.
- Conduct required fire alarm testing to ensure compliance with NFPA and local code requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Understand how fire alarm systems integrate with sprinkler systems, HVAC, elevators, access control, and other building systems.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with customers and project teams.
- Basic knowledge of NFPA fire alarm codes and commercial fire alarm systems.
- Experience with installation, testing, service, or maintenance of fire alarm systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and low-voltage systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- NICET Certification (any level)
Salary : $28 - $32
