Construction Estimator

What You'll Do
- Review plans, specifications, addendums, and bid documents for civil construction projects
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using estimating software (AGTEK, PlanSwift, Bid2Win)
- Develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, overhead, and profit
- Analyze earthwork, grading, utilities, concrete, sod, striping, and related scopes
- Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings as needed
- Request, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure full scope coverage
- Prepare proposals, exhibits (sod and concrete), and supporting documentation
- Participate in bid reviews with estimating and management teams
- Coordinate bid handoff meetings with Project Managers after award
- Assist with change orders, revisions, and post-bid pricing support
- Maintain organized project files, documentation, and correspondence
- Support post-project reviews to improve estimating accuracy and processes
- 3-5 years of construction estimating
- Experience working with general contractors
- Strong understanding of civil construction means and methods
- Proficiency with estimating software (Bid2Win, AGTEK, PlanSwift preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and estimating tools
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (not required)
- Monday-Friday (50 Hours Work Week)
- Full-time, exempt position
