What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Estimator position at W3Global?
Primary Responsibilities
- Estimating & Bidding: Perform detailed material take-offs and formulate comprehensive proposals for "plan and spec" and "design-build" projects.
- Market Versatility: Manage bids for various construction types, including healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, restaurants, schools, and tenant improvements.
- Project Quarterbacking: Act as the primary lead for client relations, scheduling, and material procurement once a project is secured.
- Project Transition: Ensure a seamless handoff to Project Managers and provide ongoing support by responding to RFIs and pricing requests.
- Strategic Planning: Analyze blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate hard bids and cost estimates.
- Experience: 3-10 years of dedicated experience in commercial electrical estimating.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in either McCormick or Accubid estimating software preferred.
- Project Scope: Proven track record of estimating projects ranging from $100,000 to $10M .
- Technical Literacy: Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and complex contract documents.
- Engineering Knowledge: A deep understanding of general electrical design and engineering concepts.
- Leadership Traits: A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead projects independently.
