Build and lead a world-class sales and marketing machine that removes the founder from

revenue generation and positions us as the dominant luxury design-build brand in

Orange County

You Will

  • Replace the founder in sales.
  • Build a real sales department.
  • Build a real marketing engine.
  • Drive predictable, scalable revenue growth.

If you have never scaled a business from messy to methodical - this role is not for you.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Own Revenue
  • Design and implement the full sales process (lead → qualification → design agreement

→ construction contract).

  • Improve close rates and contract size.
  • Build forecasting and pipeline visibility.
  • Personally close high-value projects until a team is built.
  • Build the Sales Department
  • Recruit, train, and manage sales professionals.
  • Develop scripts, presentations, objection handling frameworks.
  • Install KPIs and accountability rhythms.
  • Eliminate founder dependency in client acquisition.
  • Architect the Marketing Engine
  • Define positioning and messaging for luxury homeowners.
  • Oversee inbound marketing (paid ads, SEO, social, referrals).
  • Develop strategic partnerships (architects, designers, real estate professionals).
  • Ensure consistent qualified lead flow.
  • Scale Strategically
  • Identify constraints preventing growth.
  • Create systems that allow expansion into new markets (including wildfire rebuild and

Palisades expansion opportunities).

  • Turn sales insights into repeatable playbooks.

  • Founder fully removed from day-to-day sales.
  • Dedicated sales team operating with clear KPIs.
  • Predictable qualified lead pipeline.
  • Revenue growth trajectory aligned toward $50M goal.

Requirements

  • 8 years in sales, marketing, or revenue leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling a business or department.
  • Deep understanding of high-ticket sales ($500K contracts preferred).
  • Experience building sales teams and processes from scratch.
  • Strong business acumen and pattern recognition.
  • High emotional intelligence and executive presence.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments.

Preferred

  • Experience in luxury residential construction or adjacent industries.
  • Experience launching or scaling multi-market operations.

KPI Scorecard & Performance Metrics

This role is measured by outcomes, not activity.

Revenue Targets

  • Annual Revenue Target Contribution: $12M-$20M within first 24 months
  • Minimum 30% year-over-year revenue growth
  • Maintain average project size of $1M

Pipeline Metrics

  • Qualified Opportunities per Month: 8-15 high-quality prospects
  • Lead-to-Appointment Conversion Rate: 40%
  • Appointment-to-Design Agreement Close Rate: 35%
  • Design-to-Construction Conversion Rate: 70%
  • Pipeline Visibility Accuracy: 90% forecasting reliability

Sales Performance

  • Personal Close Rate (first 6-12 months): 30%
  • Sales Cycle Reduction: Improve average cycle time by 20%
  • Gross Margin Protection: Maintain or improve target margins (minimum 25% project

margin unless strategic exception approved)

Marketing Performance

  • Cost Per Qualified Lead within target benchmarks
  • Minimum 3-5 strategic referral partnerships activated per quarter
  • Consistent inbound lead flow sufficient to support growth targets

Team & System Development

  • Sales team hired and operational within 12 months
  • Documented sales playbook completed within 6 months
  • Weekly KPI reporting cadence implemented
  • Founder fully removed from day-to-day sales within 12 months

Leadership & Culture Metrics

  • 90% client satisfaction score post-contract
  • No dependency on founder for revenue generation
  • Clear accountability structure with measurable individual performance goals

Performance Reviews Occur Quarterly.

Compensation scales with measurable output.

Compensation

Base Salary: Starting at $100,000

Performance Structure

  • 2%-4% of revenue generated. if $10 Million ≈ $300,000 commission
  • Commission on closed contracts
  • Bonus incentives tied to revenue milestones and profitability

Equity / Phantom Equity

Open to discussion for exceptional candidates who demonstrate long-term leadership capability.

This role is structured for someone who wants to earn based on performance.

Flexible (Onsite / Hybrid considered)
