Job Summary
Client Service & Account Support
- The Customer Account Representative serves as a key member of our client service team, supporting commercial insurance clients and internal staff. This individual will be responsible for servicing existing accounts, managing policy changes, processing certificates of insurance, assisting with renewals, coordinating with insurance carriers, and ensuring an exceptional client experience.
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, technology-savvy, and committed to delivering fast, accurate service.
Client Service & Account Support
- Respond to client inquiries regarding policies, coverage, billing, certificates, and endorsements.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements.
- Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
- Assist clients with claims reporting and carrier communications.
- Maintain accurate client records within the agency management system.
- Follow up on outstanding client requests and carrier requirements.
- Support the renewal process by gathering underwriting information and renewal documentation.
- Review policies for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist Account Managers and Producers with renewal preparation.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers and underwriters regarding policy servicing needs.
- Track policy expiration dates and service timelines.
- Maintain electronic client files and documentation.
- Prepare proposals, applications, and supporting insurance documents.
- Assist with new business submissions and onboarding activities.
- Monitor service requests to ensure timely completion.
- Support internal process improvement initiatives and agency workflows.
- Deliver responsive, professional, and accurate customer service.
- Build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members.
- Help maintain our reputation for clear communication, honest guidance, and exceptional service.
- 2 years of customer service or insurance agency experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/agency management systems.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Property & Casualty Insurance License (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Experience with commercial insurance accounts.
- Experience processing Certificates of Insurance and policy endorsements.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and carrier relationships.
- Experience with Applied Epic, HawkSoft, AMS360, or similar agency management platforms.
