Job Details
- The Dive Supervisor is responsible for the safe planning, coordination, and execution of all diving operations. This role oversees commercial dive teams in support of marine construction, dock/mooring services, construction, salvage, and related underwater services.
- The Dive Supervisor ensures that all operations meet client standards, Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) guidelines, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Lead, manage, and supervise dive teams during all underwater operations.
- Conduct pre-dive planning, risk assessments, and safety briefings.
- Ensure all diving equipment is properly inspected, maintained, and operational prior to use.
- Maintain accurate dive logs, project records, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor diver performance, bottom time, and decompression obligations.
- Implement and enforce safety standards and emergency response procedures.
- Mentor and support junior divers and tenders to build skill and competence.
- Oversee mobilization and demobilization of dive projects, equipment, and support vessels.
- ADCI-certified Dive Supervisor (Inshore or Offshore, as appropriate).
- Minimum of [7] years commercial diving experience with at least [2] years in supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of diving physics, physiology, and decompression procedures.
- Experience with underwater construction, inspection, welding, cutting, salvage, or related marine services.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and O₂ administration.
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Experience working in New England marine environments (tides, currents, cold water).
- Familiarity with client's core services, including pile driving, salvage, docks/mooring support.
- Additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, rigging, confined space, surface supply air diving).
- Ability to work in demanding marine environments, including adverse weather, confined spaces, and variable underwater conditions.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and perform physically strenuous tasks.
