Position Summary

A manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Setup & Programmer / CNC Machinist to support production operations in a precision machining environment. The role involves setting up and operating CNC turning and milling centers, with programming experience considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machine centers.
• Load tools, fixtures, and raw materials for production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Make minor program edits or adjustments as needed (programming is a plus).
• Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow shop procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a CNC machinist/operator with setup experience.
• Hands-on experience with CNC mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC programming experience (G-code, conversational, or CAM).
• Experience machining aluminum and/or stainless steel components.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machine or tooling issues.
  
  

Work Schedule & Environment

• Full-time position in a manufacturing shop environment.
• Standing for extended periods; exposure to machine noise and shop equipment.
• PPE required as per safety guidelines.
