Job Description

• The Water/Wastewater Plants Operator will have the necessary qualifications, technical knowledge, experience and skills required to efficiently operate, maintain and repair the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System.
• Operate and maintain a variety of facilities, equipment, and systems involved in wastewater treatment processes.
• Monitor plant operation through visual observation and computer screens, regulating flows.
• Perform chemical analysis and tests to ensure the facility's final effluent meets quality standards.
• Document and maintain data regarding plant operations for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Assign and demonstrate operation and maintenance tasks to other staff and provide technical guidance.
• Review plans for plant upgrades and meet with consultants and contractors.
  
  

Train or ensure training and updating of skills for all wastewater plant employees.
