Job Description:
The Water/Wastewater Plants Operator will have the necessary qualifications, technical knowledge, experience and skills required to efficiently operate, maintain and repair the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System.

Operate and maintain a variety of facilities, equipment, and systems involved in wastewater treatment processes.
- Monitor plant operation through visual observation and computer screens, regulating flows.
- Perform chemical analysis and tests to ensure the facility's final effluent meets quality standards.
- Document and maintain data regarding plant operations for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Assign and demonstrate operation and maintenance tasks to other staff and provide technical guidance.
- Review plans for plant upgrades and meet with consultants and contractors.
- Train or ensure training and updating of skills for all wastewater plant employees.
Required:
- Must hold a current/valid operator's wastewater certification level I or higher issued by the Wastewater Works Operators Certification Board of Examiners from applicable states California, Nevada. Must be willing to obtain TI and DI within 60 days of employment.
- An OIT will be considered for the right candidate. Candidate will be required to test for the Wastewater certification within 60 days of employment.
- Experience with projects or contracts of similar scope.
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain required clearances and gate passes to get on military bases.
