Essential Job Functions
- Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and 3DX
- Manage and maintain design data within PDM systems
- Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to refine product designs
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations
- Document design processes and maintain accurate records
- Stay current with advancements in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and industry best practices
- Manage, maintain, and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Prepare drawings and wiring diagrams as needed
- Set up CFD simulations in ANSYS to validate and optimize design concepts
- Extensive experience with SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, PDM/PLM, and simulation tools
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience with additional CAD tools such as Creo, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, or Revit is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in setting up CFD simulations using ANSYS
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Advanced SolidWorks 3D modeling and simulation capabilities
- Experience with PDM and PLM systems; 3DExperience preferred
- Technical drawing creation and documentation
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Experience creating photorealistic renderings is a plus
- Proficiency in building CFD models for simulations using ANSYS
