Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Manager to join our growing CPA firm. This role is responsible for managing the full cycle of bookkeeping services for multiple clients while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism, and client service. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax filings and year-end 1099s
- Execute month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain and review trial balances
- Supervise, train, and mentor accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
- Communicate directly with clients to address questions and deliver high-quality service
- Ensure compliance with firm standards, internal controls, and accounting best practices
- Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Business, or a related field required
- Minimum of five (5) years of full-charge bookkeeping experience (CPA firm experience strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication, organizational, and client service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- QBO ProAdvisor certification preferred
- Experience with ADP payroll platform and reporting
- Ability to quickly adapt to new accounting technologies and systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
