Asbestos Project Oversight Specialist

We are seeking motivated environmental professionals to support asbestos abatement oversight and related environmental consulting projects. This position is suitable for both experienced candidates and recent graduates with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science, earth science, or a related field.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with project teams, communicate effectively with clients and contractors, and receive training related to job-specific responsibilities and applicable state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor asbestos abatement activities to help ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and approved work practices.
• Coordinate with building owners, contractors, consultants, and regulatory representatives.
• Review project documentation, maintain field records, and prepare clear reports.
• Support inspections, air monitoring, visual evaluations, and project closeout activities as assigned.
• Assist with other environmental consulting services, including hazardous building materials, indoor air quality, environmental site assessments, and regulatory reviews.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science, earth science, or a related discipline.
• Connecticut asbestos project monitor licensing is preferred; qualified non-licensed candidates will also be considered.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel throughout Connecticut and other New England locations.
