Architect/Designer

We are seeking a Project Architect or Architectural Designer to join a multidisciplinary design practice based in Los Angeles. This role will support and lead projects across planning, programming, ground-up construction, gallery interiors, and exhibition design. The position requires managing multiple projects at varying phases of development while maintaining design excellence, budget awareness, and schedule alignment.

The ideal candidate is both a strong conceptual thinker and a technically capable producer who can move seamlessly between design development and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project design and delivery from concept through construction.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Lead and contribute to project presentations and reports.
• Produce drawing packages for both presentation and construction.
• Conduct collections analysis and documentation.
• Develop space planning studies and gallery/exhibition designs.
• Create 3D models, renderings, and visualizations.
• Participate in site visits, including potential international travel.
• Review construction documentation to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Ensure projects align with design intent, budget, and schedule requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in an architecture firm.
• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
• Strong design portfolio demonstrating clear design sensibility.
• Experience in gallery or exhibition design is a plus.
• Licensed Architect certification is a plus, but not required.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling (Rhino required; Revit a plus).
• Strong rendering skills (V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong research, problem-solving, and production skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
