What You'll Do
Financial Oversight & Leadership
- Lead all financial accounting functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, cash flow, and financial controls
- Prepare timely financial statements and analysis supporting organizational decision-making
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and departmental standards
- Lead annual budgeting processes and monitor adherence to financial targets
- Produce financial forecasts that support strategic planning
- Present financial performance insights to leadership and stakeholders
- Partner with the CFO, department leaders, and service line managers to align financial practices
- Oversee external audit activities and ensure readiness and documentation accuracy
- Support regulatory compliance efforts, including tax, GAAP, and healthcare reporting standards
- Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data
- Maintain organized financial documentation, schedules, and audit materials
- Oversee organizational funds, securities, and asset controls
- Manage relationships with financial institutions to support operational stability
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and core accounting principles
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- 3-5 years of hospital or healthcare accounting experience
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid Cost Reporting, HCAP, or IRS Form 990
- Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA (preferred but not required)
