We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Installation Technician with hands-on experience in the inspection, installation, programming, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NFPA codes and local regulations, along with a background in electrical work.Key Responsibilities:Install, inspect, wire, program, and test fire alarm systems in commercial buildingsInterpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawingsEnsure all installations comply with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, AHJ requirements)Troubleshoot system and electrical wiring issues and provide maintenance supportCollaborate with project managers, electricians, and clients to meet project goals and deadlinesMaintain accurate documentation of work performed and systems installedFollow all safety protocols and company proceduresQualifications:3 years of experience in fire alarm installation (commercial experience)Prior experience in the electrical trade, preferably low-voltage or commercial electrical systemsStrong knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and applicable building codesNICET certification (Level I or higher) preferredFamiliarity with major fire alarm systems (e.g., Potter, Kidde, Bosch and Vista)Ability to read and interpret construction plans and wiring schematicsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license and clean driving recordRegular and Reliable attendanceAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust reside within a reasonable distance from our Brooklyn locationMust be willing to participate in on-call rotation
