Our client is a design/build licensed Fire Sprinkler Contractor in the State of Idaho. Their mission is to provide life-saving and cost-effective fire sprinkler systems that meet or exceed the requirements of NFPA and the local authority having jurisdiction. With their in-house design staff, they offer pre-designed fire sprinkler systems utilizing BricsCAD and HydraCalc Hydraulics, all with NICET Level III supervision. They have three NICET Level III certified technicians and one NICET Level II certified technician on staff, and over 75 years of combined experience in the industry amongst their management team. Our client is always looking to expand their knowledge in an ever-changing industry and is seeking self-motivated individuals to learn and grow as part of their team in Boise.
Our client is seeking an Experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer and Design Department Manager to join their team, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. This position is for a primarily commercial designer that would handle ground-up and tenant improvement designs, but would also require experience in design in both residential single-family and multi-family applications, with a solid understanding of applicable code standards, as well as the ability to oversee other designers, review plans for accuracy prior to submitting for permit, train designers, balance schedule and design priority, and manage the design department as a whole.
Years of experience required is variable. Our client will assess an applicant's overall experience and skill in fire sprinkler system design and code knowledge, as well as any experience in managing others. They are willing to train the right person on the management aspect of the position if there is no experience in that area. The pay range provided is based on an applicant meeting the criteria specified, but pay is negotiable depending on experience.
