Certified Dietary Manager

Job Summary:

• Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional needs, adjusting menus and care strategies accordingly.

• Oversee food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and regulatory compliance to maintain a safe dining environment.

• Manage budgeting responsibilities for the dietary department, including inventory control, purchasing, and cost analysis to optimize resources.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals on patient care plans involving physiology knowledge, health coaching, and dietary interventions.

• Train staff on best practices in assisted living nutrition services, supervising their performance to foster continuous improvement.

• Ensure documentation accuracy for care plans, dietary records, and incident reports related to nutrition and feeding procedures.

Requirements:

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential from an accredited organization is required.

• Proven management experience within a dietary or food services department in assisted living or healthcare settings.

• Strong knowledge of dietetics principles, physiology, nutrition science, and care plan development.

• Experience with patient assessment techniques including tube feeding management and diagnostic evaluation considerations.

• Familiarity with supervising staff, managing budgets, and maintaining compliance with health regulations.
