Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to support our operations in Riverhead, NY and Corporate HR initiatives. This role will partner closely with and assist the Corporate HR Director in managing day-to-day HR functions, employee relations matters, compliance initiatives, and talent activities. This will be an on-site position based in Riverhead, NY.
The HR Generalist will serve as a key resource for employees and leaders, helping ensure HR practices are compliant with applicable laws and aligned with company policies. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish, highly organized, and knowledgeable in New York employment law and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with and assist the Corporate HR Director in supporting HR initiatives for Riverhead operations and corporate functions.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee record management, and HR documentation.
- Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring processes.
- Conduct or assist with employee relations investigations, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.
- Provide guidance to employees on benefits programs, company policies, and HR procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including New York sick leave, wage and hour regulations, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain confidential employee records and HR files in accordance with company and legal standards.
- Partner with managers to address employee concerns, performance matters, and workplace issues.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, compliance tracking, and policy administration.
- Support HR initiatives that promote employee engagement, communication, and a positive workplace culture.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or operational environments.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Experience with HRIS systems and HR reporting tools.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
- Strong knowledge of New York employment law and statutory compliance, including sick leave and wage & hour regulations.
- Experience in employee relations, recruitment, investigations, and HR compliance.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both operational teams and corporate leadership.
