Job Title: Maintenance Technician Electrical  
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Compensation: Hourly

With over 1,500 specialty SKUs spanning 500 product families, Vybond serves 1,500 customers across the HVAC, building and construction, industrial, retail, medical, aerospace, automotive, and other specialty industries.

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Work from electronic diagrams, blueprints, schematics, job tickets, work request, written and/or verbal instructions.
2.    Troubleshoot equipment and repair all electrical and electronic breakdowns.
3.    Install, replace and repair microprocessors, replace programmable controllers, solid state controls, temperature controls, motors, gauges, and control panels.
4.    Replace brushes and bearings for motors, tachometers and generators. 
5.    Troubleshoot and program control programs as required.
6.    Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment. 
7.    Assist in identifying and solving machine problems.
8.    Use electrical and electronic test equipment including but not limited to oscilloscopes, voltmeter, ammeters, meggers, digital meters, calibration apparatus, and laptop computers.
9.    Assist in the construction and installation of new equipment.
10.    Follow all GMP, safety and company rules and regulations. 
11.    Maintain necessary records.
12.    Perform safety checks on equipment.
13.    Assistant other maintenance crews.
14.    Move materials as necessary. 
15.    Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

1.    Associates degree in applied science or other technical degree preferred, or 3 years in Industrial Maintenance
2.    High School Diploma or GED
3.    Previous manufacturing experience preferred
4.    Must have excellent attendance
5.    Maintain a safe work environment
6.    Must be able to work overtime as required
7.    Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
8.    Ability to read and write. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:
1.    Electrician must be able to respond to preventive maintenance (PM) requests.
2.    Electrician must be able to perform PM work on machines. 
3.    Electrician must be able to run diagnostics on machines. 
4.    Electrician must be able to install receptacles and replace ballasts. 
5.    Electrician must be able to run conduit, pull electrical wiring.
6.    Electrician must be able to maintain parking lot lighting by changing bulbs and ballasts.
7.    Electrician must be able to service electrical panels and breakers.
8.    Electrician must be able to dig trenches to run electrical wiring.
9.    Electrician must be able to operate fork trucks and scissor lifts. 
10.    Electrician must be able to perform cleaning duties.  

 

Standing:  (Frequent) Electrician must be able to stand to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as performing PM/diagnostics on machines, installing receptacles and replacing ballasts, running conduit/wire/data connections, maintaining parking lot lighting, servicing panels and breakers and performing cleaning duties.  
 
Walking:  (Frequent) Electrician must be able to walk to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as performing PM/diagnostics on machines, installing receptacles and replacing ballasts, running conduit/wire/data connections, maintaining parking lot lighting, servicing panels and breakers trenches and performing cleaning duties.  

Sitting:  (Occasional) Electrician must be able to sit to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as working on areas close to floor and operating fork trucks.  

Lifting:  (Occasional) Electrician must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level to lift wire rolls and carry ladders. (Frequent) Electrician must be able to lift up to 10 pounds overhead frequently to lift ballasts and tools.   

Carrying:  (Frequent) Electrician must be able to complete front carries of to 50 pounds for distances of up to 25 feet to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as carrying ladders and wire rolls. 

Pushing/Pulling:   (Occasional) Electrician must be able to generate push and pull forces of up to 50 pounds to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as running electrical wire and pushing carts.  

Forward Bending:  (Frequent) Electrician must be able to attain/maintain a forward flexed position of up to 60 degrees to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as performing PM/diagnostics on machines, installing receptacles and replacing ballasts, running conduit/wire/data connections and performing cleaning duties.  

Trunk Rotation:  (Frequent) Electrician must be able to rotate their trunk/torso left-right to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as running conduit/wire/data connections and working out of scissor lift.

Reaching:  (Frequent) Electrician must be able to forward reach to a shoulder level height of between 36-60 inches to perform duties associated with essential job functions such as performing PM/diagnostics on machines, replacing light bulbs, installing receptacles and replacing ballasts, running conduit/wire/data connections, performing cleaning duties.  

Manipulating/Handling/Gripping:  (Frequent) Electrician must be able to perform gripping, pinching and manipulation of various pieces of equipment utilized for the performance of essential job functions.  A grip force of up to 50 pounds is necessary for the completion of tasks.

Climbing:  (Occasional) Electrician must be able to ascend/descend steps and /or ladders varying in 7-12 inches in height to complete duties associated with essential job functions such as changing light bulbs, replacing ballasts and running conduit/wire/data connections.

Kneeling:  (Frequent) Electrician must be able to kneel to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as accessing different work spaces and installing receptacles.  

Crouching:  (Occasional) Electrician must be able to crouch to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as accessing workspaces.  

Crawling:  (Occasional) Electrician must be able to crawl to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as accessing workspaces and running conduit/wire/data connections. 

Squatting:  (Occasional) Electrician must be able to squat to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as installing receptacles and running conduit/wire/data connections.

Postural Balancing:  (Frequent) Electrician must be able to maintain both static and dynamic standing balance to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as performing PM/diagnostics on machines, installing receptacles and replacing ballasts, running conduit/wire/data connections, maintaining parking lot lighting, servicing panels and breakers and performing cleaning duties

 

WORK  LEVEL:

Medium Work (Level 3) as defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles.
 

SIGNIFICANT WORKSITE MEASUREMENTS:
Tools:          weighing up to 5 pounds.
Materials:    weighing up to 50 pounds.
Steps:                    up to 7-12-inch step/rung heights.

Hand tools, channel locks, sockets, ratchets, conduit benders, grinder, power saws, meters, gauges
