What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Builder / Mechanic - Metals position at VRS?
Job Summary
- Calculate knife sheets and lays-out spacer and rubbers.
- Check knives for knicks and sharpness. Change knife blades when necessary. Check knife performance during operations to assure clean cuts.
- Builds, removes, replaces, changes heads for multiple cuts and deconstructs cutter stands according to workorder specifications/knife sheets. Checks clearances on cutter stands.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficient in basic math skills.
- Basic communication skills.
- Ability to follow and give instructions.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
