POSITION SUMMARY:

As Marketing and Business Development Associate, you will execute the company’s marketing initiatives and support business development efforts under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Development. This role manages all marketing functions—including content creation, social media, email marketing, and website maintenance—while assisting with proposals and qualifications to ensure brand consistency across all channels. You are expected to produce high-quality, accurate work that reflects the professionalism of the VPG brand. In collaboration with internal teams, you will contribute to revenue growth through targeted marketing efforts, strategic prospecting, and participation in pre-bid and pre-proposal meetings.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Creation

· Ensure all marketing materials align with VPG’s brand identity, quality standards, and approval protocols.

· Develop and design written and visual content for proposals, social media, website pages, presentations, and company collateral.

· Perform copywriting and editing to maintain a consistent voice, tone, and professional standard.

· Utilize Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), CapCut, and other approved tools to produce high-quality materials.

· Provide strategic input and creative direction on presentations and team deliverables, subject to Director approval.

Social Media Management

· Manage VPG’s social media presence to enhance visibility, engagement, and alignment with company objectives and the Vision/Traction Organizer (VTO).

· Develop, schedule, and publish approved content that reflects the VPG brand voice, mission, and core values.

· Conduct research to identify engagement trends and opportunities.

· Align social media strategy with business development outreach initiatives, and lead generation goals.

· Monitor and respond to messages, comments, and inquiries professionally and promptly.

· Track and report weekly social media performance metrics in the marketing scorecard, using CRM data to refine content and outreach strategies.

· Maintain an active 30-day prescheduled content calendar in the company’s social media management tool.

· Ensure all communications are consistent, professional, and compliant with company standards.

Proposal Management

· Prepare, coordinate and support the submission of all proposals and packages from concept to delivery, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and brand alignment on requirements.

· Collaborate with leadership and project teams to gather resumes, project top sheets, and recommendation letters.

· Provide writing, editing, and design support for all submissions.

· Manage proposal schedules, deadlines, and submission requirements.

· Develop presentation materials for team briefings and pursuit interviews.

· Maintain an organized proposal library and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

Email Marketing and CRM Maintenance

· Serve as the primary administrator for marketing functions within the CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date contact and opportunity data.

· Develop and distribute targeted, approved email campaigns to promote company updates, project highlights, and internal initiatives.

· Coordinate email content with social media and website updates to ensure message consistency.

· Monitor campaign performance metrics and report results in the weekly scorecard.

· Support integration of social media scheduling, analytics, and reporting within the CRM for a unified view of outreach performance.

· Collaborate with the business development team to track opportunities and activities contributing to revenue growth.

· Recommend improvements to CRM processes and reporting dashboards to enhance data-driven decision-making.

Website Maintenance

  • Actively manage and maintain both company websites: VPGConstruction.com (external) and VPGConnect (internal).
  • Oversee updates to team profiles, project pages, news, publications, bid room, and subcontractor network sections.
  • Manage internal VPGConnect content, including the blog, VPG Bucks storefront, phone directory, and employee access tools.
  • Recommend enhancements that support business development objectives and contribute to revenue generation.
  • Ensure both sites remain current, visually consistent, and compliant with brand, accessibility, and data privacy standards.
  • Coordinate with approved external partners to implement updates and new features.
  • Track and report website analytics to inform strategy and improve team engagement.

Business Development Support

  • Support company growth and revenue generation through prospecting, outreach, and relationship management.
  • Conduct market research, and opportunity tracking to identify qualified leads and align pursuits with company goals.
  • Attend pre-bid, pre-proposal, and industry meetings (virtual and in-person) to represent VPG’s capabilities and gather competitive intelligence.
  • Develop capability statements, presentations, and follow-up materials to strengthen internal team support and business development efforts.
  • Align email marketing, social media, and outreach efforts with business development activities to maximize visibility and ROI.
  • Report on outreach outcomes and pursuit effectiveness to measure impact and improve future strategy.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and accountability.

· Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail and brand alignment.

· Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), and CapCut.

· Experience managing and updating Wix and WordPress websites.

· Proficient in CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent.

· Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making and support revenue goals.

· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Professional presentation and comfort collaborating across teams and departments.

· Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality, approved work under defined deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field required

· At least 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or business development; AEC industry experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

· Must be able to stand for long durations and perform physical motions such as bending, kneeling, or reaching to carry out essential duties.

· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
