Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, builders, and key accounts within the assigned territory
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow VP Supply’s electrical customer base
- Promote and sell electrical products while positioning VP Supply as a trusted partner for contractors
- Maintain strong relationships with vendor partners and stay informed on product offerings and industry trends
- Monitor sales activity, market trends, and product performance within the territory
- Collaborate with branch teams, inside sales, and operations to ensure a seamless customer experience from quote to delivery
- Continuously build product knowledge across VP Supply’s electrical offerings while understanding the broader HVAC and plumbing product lines that support our customers
Qualifications
- 3 years of outside sales experience required
- Electrical industry experience strongly preferred (electrical distribution, contractor sales, or related field)
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with branch teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/order entry systems
- This role is primarily field based, requiring regular travel to customer locations throughout the territory
- Occasional visits to VP Supply branch locations as needed
- Use of standard office equipment including computers and mobile communication devices
